QT files are black

Clients can't watch my QT outputs on their Macs. They get a black screen and audio.

Shot on Panasonic P2: 1080i/24p. Edited in FCP 6.0.5. QT files work fine on my Macs (Power PC G5 on OSX 10.4.11 with QT 7.5.5, Intel MacBook Pro on OSX 10.5.5 with QT 7.5.5, iBook on OSX 10.3.9 with QT 7.1.3)

I've exported in multiple formats (current settings, H.264, DVCPRO HD) - nothing works yet. Nor can they see my capture scratch files.

Is this a codec problem?

Help!

Clients on what platform? Because QT 7 for Mac or PC supports h.264.

For DVCProHD on a Mac -- your client's need that codec installed on their computers. Only FCP installs it, and without it those DVCProHD movies will show no video.

Export to a format consistent with QT and supplied by the free QT player. Apple's site will provide the details.

Do you have FCS2 installed on all three computers - PPC, MBP, and iBook?

Dang. This is some good information as I just updated my old 3 year old Powerbook to a - MacBook Pro 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I got this computer so I can actually view all of the HD stuff I have mostly shot in 720p/30pn on P2's. I have yet to install FCS2, but I should be confidant that this computer should play these clips no problem? Cause I was getting that same black screen.
