QR codes in video?

[izoneguy]

Has anyone put a QR code in a video?

A client wanted to put a QR code in hos video.
He said he saw a video at Home Depot that
had a QR code at the end of a video.

You can read a QR code with an iPhone
or other phones that can read codes.

I am just wondering if this is the beginning
of something I need to know about.

QR codes aren't really new, they're just getting all sorts of attention from advertising agencies. You can find QR code generators (http://qrcode.kaywa.com/) and encode pretty much whatever you want.

I haven't put one in a video, but I saw a video on the Jimmy Fallon show on a poster in a crowd scene. It was weird. I pulled it up, froze it, scanned it, and it took me to the Jimmy Kimmel webpage. It was pretty neat, but it was a lot of work.

That is what I thought....
I can see using it on printed material.
This one client wanted a QR code on the end of his video
because he thinks people will be standing there with an iPhone
ready to scan in a QR code.

I put it in. But since I don't have an iPhone I have no idea
if it will work. He is looking at it now.

If you want to export the last few seconds, I'll give it a try to see if it takes me to the right place.

Here is a link to a 720p and an iPhone version.
The link should go to: http://chefpete.com/
