FS5: PXW-FS5 / Zion Video Discussion

There seems to be a lot of negativity towards the kit lens, it's good to hear some positive opinions on it. If most of the zion film was shot with it, it must be decent enough.

I have a pre-order with the kit lens (coming from an ex1 so no other lenses at the moment), I can't wait to get my hands on it!

What's the negativity towards the kit lens? Also with a cheap adapter you can really use any lens you want, that's the beauty of it all.

There is a thread around here about the lens distortion and the corresponding lens correction software. The same thread contained various comments as to the kit lens quality.
