OTHER: PX-270: Sharpness Stettings

What sharpness settings are you guys using?

I'm finding that in many instances my GoPro footage I mix in looks cleaner and sharper than my PX-270. This really shouldn't be happening right?

Default settings looked like crap with jagged lines all over, turning sharpness off makes everything pretty soft. Where is the sweet spot? It's as if this thing needs scene file settings for sharpness alone. It also seems like the same sharpness settings behave differently depending on what focal length you are at so I have to set my closeup and wide cameras differently.

I adjust the detail settings to get rid of most of the edge fringing as you do too. I have a little wire wine rack that sits in front of a white wall. Shows edge fringing really well. Panasonic cameras have always had a love/hate relationship with the detail settings which often benefitted from post-sharpening. The great thing is this camera is not noisy like all Panasonic cameras of yesteryear. So if you do turn some detail up the image is still super clean.

I will look up my settings and get back to you.
