Putting 30i and 24P on the same timeline ?

Hello. I am planning on shooting a documentary in 24p and still want to keep some footage that I shot in 30i. Will it be problem for me to put them both in the same timeline? If it will be, then what can I do?... as I have some valuable stuff that I dont want to re-shoot. I plan on using FCP 4 to edit once finished with production. Any help would be great.

you can use magic bullet to shoot that 30i into 24p

Just to clarify, are you shooting in 24p Normal or 24p Advanced?  If shooting in Normal, you can edit the footage on a 29.97 timeline just fine.

Also, when you say 30i, do you mean 60i? As in, 60 interlaced fields per second (which make up roughly 30 frames).
