Well being a kid without a job, earning money is a slow, long process. I've compiled a list of general items that I'm looking forward to buying in the future. The problem is I will be buying them one at a time with long wait time between each purchase. So I need help figuring out which is more important and maybe can get some suggestions on what to get, so here goes nothing.
1. Lens other than kit lens (the only lens that I have). Looking to get Lumix 20mm and some Canon FD's.
2. Portable lights but nothing too pricey. Even the average quality ones are too expensive for me to afford. Are the hot shoe led lights any good?
3. Stabilizer or Shoulder mount. Maybe the IndiRailDSLRSM. Probably going to be last on the list.
4. Tripod -.- I don't have a decent one so maybe going to buy a $150-200 Manfrotto.
5. Fluid head. For smooth panning. I've heard that you can't get decent results without spending hundreds on a good head. Any cheap ones with nice results?
6. Mattebox. Is it really that useful except for keeping out unwanted light and holding filters? probably should get after buying the IndiRail.
7. Filters + filter holder (if I won't be getting a mattebox). Don't know much about filters and which are important. Which one keeps bright lights from underexposing the rest of the image?
8. Recorder. Most likely the H4N. Already have a low semi-decent mic, Azden SGM 1X.
9. Boom Pole. Probably will look for a DIY one since its really expensive for just a metal rod.
