Push Auto Focus Remote, Useful?

We can make Push Auto remots for DVX-100 A,B,C... HVX... and all Sony and Canon models.

The Idea is to have a zoom remote on the right grip and PushAuto on the left.

Question is how many of you think it is useful and is it worth the trouble.

Thanks for the help.

YES!
- And if at all possible, please make this wireless - or at least with a *very* flexible (/thin) extendable cable. Think Steadicam.
How about use a velcro strap that allows you to strap the button around a pan handle, hand grip, or of course a gimble handle.

I've been using the Varizoom focus, iris, zoom control for my 100B mounted on their DV Rig Pro...many times during our last shoot, I thought it would be so nice to have the controls seperated on the two handles. Focus should be by itself on one handle! Iris and zoom on the other. And pay close attention to the ergonomics, which matter after a couple of hours of wearing the rig and riding focus. Also, on the focus...have a switch labeled micro and macro...I think the biggest issue with the remote focusing on the Varizoom is that it's not quite fine enough in certain situations....but then in others, I want to shift focus fairly quickly too...being able to quickly select the focus shift speed would be very appealing.

Summary....

Finer adjustments for focus.
Seperate control for focus on one handle.

Good luck guys,

Thanks Prof.
I hope the remote makers are reading this and will take your focusing suggestions into account.

The 100B can accept separate zoom and focus controls, Check Varizoom.com

What I plan to do is a single push auto button (Only) same as the one on the camera only placed on the left grip.

BTW - Will this help you ? http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=58219
