Purple Sky problem

Hello, I'm new to this forum and, in comparrison to you guys, very new to the dvx as well.

I'm guessing this will be a rediculously easy question solved by some very simple adjustment, but I have to ask to learn.

While shooting outdoors I seem to always end up with a purple tint to the sky. All of my other colors look right but the sky isn't right. I do manual white balence and have messed with the color tempature settings... it seems to help some, but still the sky doesn't look natural.

Perhaps it is slightly overexposed (one channel overexposed, the others near it), and the sky is in the knee portion of the gamma curve. There can be color oddness when that is the case. Can you post a still?
