I believe the Commlite benefits from flocking to reduce flare. I had a couple of people ask me about the flocking I bought, they were going to use it in some flavor of Commlite adapter.
For anyone who runs into this issue with the Aputure DEC LensRegain or any other adapters, I believe the other members were right in that there really needs to be flocking on the inside. I ended up returning my Aputure and gave this electronic adapter from China a whirl. It was 75 bucks on eBay, so I figured no big loss if it doesn't work. It got here, and works with AF and electronic aperture with my sigma lenses (18-35 1.8 and 150-600 5-6.3) and no purple flares yet! For now, I'll highly recommend but the storms out here in CA have made it hard to give this a serious test in strong sunlight. No speedbooster, but if you're simply looking to make canon/sigma canon glass work on the GH4, I think it's a winner for 75 bucks with electronic controls. AF is a little slow but still works!
