purple abberation problem with dvx-100

Hey guys. I've been using my dvx-100PAL(first version) for aalmost two years now
and when I look back at some of my footage(old and recent) I can see
some kind of abberation artifact going on as a purple and blue line going down on the left side of the frame.
The line that goes down the left appears occationally, depending on the light. Does anyone know the reason for this? I can't remember
seeing this when I first bought the camera.

I'm a little scared, please help me if you can :)

My AG DVX-100 A (E) has got similar aberation on left side of frame. More visible it is, if i use (original) wide converter. But it is outside action/title safe, so on TV not visible.

Couldn't tell unless I look very very closely at it.

You didn't notice for 2 years.

I would say don't worry about it.

thanks for the replies. I can stop worrying now, and get me one of those
35mm adapters :)

-cheers!

Green abberation problem with DVX100B

I just bought a DVX100B and I have a green line at the bottom of the image just like yours...and I would like to know if this is normal or if it is a problem and if I should send it back to panasonic??

I have just the same thing. Just crop it if you can't stand it, but the average crowd would never notice anyway.

I have been using my DVX100A (PAL version) for 1 year now & have never noticed any unsual coloring on the frame's borders. Wish I could advice, but I'm also not sure what's causing it. Perhaps the more experienced can give their views on this.

However, when I edit my DVX footage in Premiere Pro, I scale all my video clips to about 91% slightly past the video-save area in the Monitor window. But even if I don't do this, I don't notice any border colorations.
