Hi,
First of all thank you to all who contribute to this forum, I've had a great time the past few weeks checking out the wonderful work filmed by the users of this forum. I've finally decided to purchase this camera for my business and was wondering who a trusted retailer would be to go through online. I found a company called "thecamerapros.com" on Google which has remarkably cheap pricing (a little over $4000). Has anyone used this company before in purchasing? Sould I be weary of anything before purchasing online? Any advise or recommendations are welcome.
Thanks in advance!

It is written all over this forum, DONT BUY FROM ANYONE WHO IS NOT AN AUTHROIZED DEALER.. THAT IS THE ONLY COMMENT YOU ARE GOING TO GET FROM EVERYONE HERE.

They have an average rating of 0.00 on a scale from 0 to 10 on Reseller Ratings -- I think you can draw your own conclusions.

Just purchased mine

I just finished ordering an HVX from Specialized Communications because of the offer which includes an extra battery and 10% off the price of a Cineporter when it becomes available.

Only problem is...they're eight weeks backordered on 4 gig P2 cards. (they're expecting 8 gig in the next couple of days or so.

So, the question is: In the time it takes me to get my hands on P2 cards, can I begin learning about the camera by shooting and firewiring straight into my laptop?
