i am interested in purchasing an EX1, but the price in oz is 10 grand!

i did the math and for the same price, could purchase the ex1 with the extra wide angle lens, film light, carry case, extra battery and a cokin filter from B&H in america.

has anyone purchased an ex1 from B&H, then had it shipped to australia?

i would not usually consider this due to FPS issues, however this is not an issue for the EX1 :)

any suggestions, opinions, or advice, greatly welcome, thanks.

Here in germany the EX1 costs about 9500$. :kali:
Would be great if shipping to europe is possible. :)

Im australian, now in melbourne, got my ex1 for 700,000 yen in tokyo duty free which is about 5% off. Total price was about $8000 AU. Only one 8 gig card though. Holiday in Japan?
There might be a problem with getting it serviced if you get one with the vignetting problem. wouldnt want to have to fly back again.
Video craft in Melbourne sell it for $9400, theyre also super helpful guys.

I've picked up one from videocraft in Sydney, nice guys. The main reason for buying in oz is the warranty issue - if you buy it in the US and something goes wrong, the camera needs to be returned for repair in the US. Of course now that I've bought mine in oz it's bound to work perfectly until the end of warranty! ;-)
