Pulsing light issue with EX-1

Anyone experienced this light flicker with the EX-1 that looks a bit like a projector, especially when the camera is set underexposed, but usually only in the beginning of the shot and eventually dissipates...what the hell is this? I assume it's the rolling shutter which I'm not too thrilled about. Anyone figured out how to eliminate it?

That is not a normal occurance. I do not have that, the only flicker I get is when the shutterspeed and the hertz of the lights dont match up.

I recall this issue with a different camera, a VX2000, where, under certain conditions of vibration, the iris would flutter and cause the flickering light levels.
Postulate: it might be a loose servo that controls the iris.
Does this occur with vibration, or even when standing still on a tripod?
