pulsating colors

I'm shooting in 24p using Rostronics/ Britek lights then rendering footage as microsoft dv avi at 23.976 using premiere pro 2.0 and all is well except all the reds in the avi footage are pulsating. When I render the same footage in premiere 6.0 using the same settings except for 29.97 frame rate, I get no pulsating reds. What am I doing to cause this grief in my 24p workflow?
 
To work in a 24p timeline you should shoot 24pa. 24p timeline you should edit in 29.91. Im not sure if this is causing your reds to pulsate as that can happen with DV.
 
Maybe try desaturating a bit? Do the reds pulse when you output to DVD or tape? As you know, the DVX loves to blow the reds....
 
well ncje answered what i was getting at...with 24p standard you're introducing the pulldown that should be used on 24p advanced and in a sense losing frames which could be causing your problem. i can't say that for sure...my NLE doesn't have that feature.
