Pulling up sequences

Hello,

When you close a sequence from the timeline (click the X to close the tab), how do you bring it back? When I drag the sequence from my bin to the timeline it shows up as one continuous clip, not the section of clips I added together. I need to pull it up with the edits in it so I can continue to work on it. Not sure how it was clicked off either.... but I'm still learning.

Thx!

Double click on the Sequence you want to open in the Project Window/Panel. Presto! :)

If you want to open a Sequence that is nested into another Sequence - just double click on it. Presto! :)

LOL even some of the simplest things baffle =)

Ok, so double click and it will come up in the project window. If I drag it to the project window it will appear, but as one clip without the cuts. If I double click I'll get the version with the cuts and edits? (I'm at work and can't check until I get home).

Why is it different if I drag the sequence, opposed to clicking on it?

I don't know much about nested sequences yet. So you double click on a sequence to get it to open in a project panel, and you double click it to open it if it's nested in a sequence? What is the difference?

Thank you Roger!

You might drag a sequence into another sequence when you want to add an effect to the whole scene, and not want to do it clip by clip. Or color grade an entire scene. You can edit your project scene by scene, then drag those sequences into one master sequence. It's much easier to move around and re-order 5 large clips than hundreds of tiny clips.

Thanks Kevin

Thanks Kevin

Kevin, thank you for your input. I am most eager to learn as much as I can about PP2.0!
