Pulldowns supposed to be in 24fps are at 30fps

I have my gh1 set to FHD/AVCHD in video recording mode and whenever I transfer it to FCP, the properties say it's in 29.99 FPS. Does anyone else have this issue with FCP or do you use a different program, like neoscene? Thanks.
 
it's because it's recorded in a 60i stream. just use i guess compressor or something on apple....im a pc guy. someone will chime in and tell you what to do. cineform is good, but it's a bit buggy for mac's i hear.

What are your settings in compressor? I want to have maximum quality and max everything, keep it in 1920x1080 but not have it be 6 gigs for a 3 minute video. Thanks man.
