Is it just me, or do a lot of people use these terms (pulldown and pulldown removal) interchangeably?
It's been kinda confusing to me, but I think I got the hang of it now - "pulldown" is how frames are repeated to fill out the 60i nature of tape, while "pulldown removal" plucks out those repeated frames so you can just work with your 24 progressive frames per second.
Is this right, or am I an idiot?
