pull-down affect video play?

Hello,

I rendered a video I shot in 24pa with a 2-3 pulldown (someone told me it looks better on screen). But when I burned the video file to a CD and tried to play it back it started and stopped and looked like a bad streaming video. Without adjusting little things here and there (and wasting a bunch of CDs) does anyone know why this phenomena is happening? It isn't my burner because I burned a DVD yesterday and it worked fine.

Thanks,

Ian

If you shot 24pA, you should be encoding DVD's at pure 24p, no pulldown. The pulldown will be added on the fly by the DVD player, if it is necessary. On progressive displays, no pulldown will be added. Pure 24p is the way to go.
