"The first Swimming Society in England, formed by a group of Old Etonians in 1828, was inspired by the classical example. It was divided into two sections: 'philolutes' (lovers of bathing) and 'psychrolutes' (lovers of cold water)." - Charles Sprawson, 1998: 83
The Psychrolute is a multimedia piece about Harry's passion for the sea. The project is part of a series of portraits entitled 'Psychrolusia', in which photographer Artur Tixiliski portrays a group of sea swimmers at a local beach in Falmouth.
