www.lot25.org click on showcase and then it's the film Germanity.

Shot this initially for the drama fest a while back then decided to go further with it. After going back through with a re-edit and fine tuning the sound/sound fx we started sending this out to festivals.

The official site has the old unfinished version. www.germanity.com but it's not even worth watching since the audio is unfinished and that edit is weak.

If anyone is interested I will post all the specs and what not. Also give me your input and critique the film. Thanks.

I really enjoyed the film.
The concept was very thought provoking.
your DOF was well used, there was a lot of shallow DOF shots but they fit in the film, I notice some people go over board with their 35mm adaptors, making everything shallow DOF.

Great film:thumbsup:

We used a DVX 100 w/ M2 Adapter. We had a variety of Nikon lenses to get different shots I wanted.

As for lighting, The entire outside fight scene was natural light, We used a bounce board on the reaction shots of him holding the necklace and looking at the camera to bring out a little better features in his face.

All interior bedroom scenes were done with your basic standard lighting kit. We actually blocked out all outside light from the windows so we had total control of the light.

The school/chalkboard scene was done with a main fill light and a kicker lit from the side. pretty basic.

Church scene we had 2 on each side of the actor. the crowd wasn't lit except for interior ceiling lighting.

also basic lighting for the birthday cake scene.

But overall it was your basic lighting kit but the Gaffer just knows his stuff and the DP can get a killer look. Glad to have worked with them.

We now are in pre-pro with out new project. A psychological thriller called "The Apparatus". It's going to be pretty bizarre.
