Psyched out of Camera purchase

After looking at all the cameras in my price range I have decided to go with the JVC HD100 (because of detachable lense... ) But so many articles portray 720p, and HDV as transitory stopgap solutions, that its not REAL HD and is already obsolete technology, that footage will never be accepted by broadcast etc.

so I'm feeling paralysis in buyers remorse even before I make my first move

thoughts?

Both actually, 1080 P/I is "real" HD and HDV is worthless for motion etc...

whoever says hdv is 'worthless' either hasnt seen hdv in full res through projection or is just really stuck up. your purchase wasnt in vain, you'll still get amazing footage. keep in mind, why does the hvx only have variable frame rates in 720? why not 1080? just like the varicam. 720 is here to stay.
