It's snowing about 1'' at my house (Portland Oregon) and people are freaking. It's like 1''. COME ON! The news is allllll over it too, talking about "nightmare conditions" and all this crap. I think its funny that a dusting of the white stuff can cause a panick situation for some people. haha.

In England anything over about 3 inches is officailly called "Arctic conditions" (and I am not kidding, I am 100% serious!!)

The Finnish and Alaskan halves of me crack up every time I hear them say it on TV (yes, the BBC) - Of course the English half of me goes into panic and starts stockpiling tea :cheesy:

The goonies? Free Willy? Kindergarten cop? The ring? Other than that, I guess we just like to get huge oil tankers stranded off our coast, and we also like Lewis and Clark....

And yes, that is me in the above photo. Snow is such a rare occurance here I thought I would document the event.....

If we got that here in texas they'd think it was the rapture.

It froze here a week ago so they shut down the Univesity of Texas (no small feat).
In fact, the day before the freeze they shut down the university early so that people could get home
"while it was still safe"

People here go crazy.
I can't imagine what it would be like if it actually snowed....

Now it's freezing rain, so there is a crust of ice on top of our wimpy 1'' of snow, and all the bare concrete is glistening from a thin layer of ice. I hate freezing rain....

I had to shovel my driveway with 6 inches about 2 weeks ago...that was hell!...but we had a snow day..it was fantastico!!
