psd ng warning/audio

since i received my camera, it has flashed 'psd ng', which the manual informs me means there is a problem with the camera shake detection. it does not, however, give instruction on how to either remedy the problem or turn the warning off. is this a real problem, or is there just something set somewhere in the vast menu that needs to be turned on/off? i shoot in 24p advanced.
i also need some advice on how anyone records audio. i have the little panasonic attachment shotgun mike, which has good levels but tends to be too much in certain situations. i don't know much about audio, so is there a quick way to turn it down if you step into a loud environment?

any help on these would be appreciated.l ???

Carrie, I have the same problem. check out this string, hope it helps. I haven't figured out what I'm going to do yet, my dealer said I should just send it back tp panasonic and have them fix it. here is the subject of my original post. good luck.

Help, getting warning message.
