PSA shot with Hvx

HOLY CRAP. Dude! I was thinking "This would be hilarious if the boy got mad"

BUT IT WASN'T FUNNY! OMFG. This really sells that statement. I need to find my jaw.

Wow! Great work! I'm amazed by people who can come up with a simple idea that conveys a message so clearly, powerfully and emotionally in such a short video. That's genius. Great stuff! Another thing, in my mind I see their faces and their expressions. I had to go back and watch it again to make sure you never actually showed them.

i am not a fan of the 35mm adapters, stock lens only for this camera.
If the hvx had an interchangable lens then i would use the adapter, but stock lens, adapter, and 35mm lenses, thats way too much glass for me.
thanks for the comments.

It's a very good spot. I love everything about it exept for the graphics at the end. I think I would have positioned the logo underneath the message as if it was a signature rather than a cut to a huge logo.

cheers

Dude, I mean, DUDE, that was crazy. Get it distributed to every community television station in this country, like yesterday.

Hey C,

I think that this was nicely conceived spot. (Was this a spec?) I agree that it has some power behind it and that it works overall.

I wouldn't comment if I didn't think that it was very good already.

- Personally I think that the children's conversation is too coherent and precise. They are re-inacting something they have seen from their parents do but I was a little put off that they were speaking it so perfectly. I wonder if having them add some sort of child interpretation would add anything. Just a thought.

- I really like the idea of having the bulk of the scene playout between the children in their parents shoes. Very clever, you better copywrite that. But I really want to see the childrens faces at the climax. Although I can see how that might be difficult directorially I really think a strong shot of the boy would work for the ending title card.

Again I really liked it. Where are you based out of?

Cheers,

Matt

EDIT: After reading another post from you I'm guessing you are the DP and not the director. So my comments don't really apply to you.

very nice indeed! Imaginative and highly effective. Kids pick up our stuff like sponges... for good and bad.

Will it be aired in NY?
