Hey Guys,

This is a public service announcement for those in the market for a cheap hd lcd:

As of this time, in a certain auction site, there are 3 available ikan kits (battery, charger, mount, case), at the buy-it-now price of $549 plus shipping. Add to this Microsoft's 25% cash back when buy-it-now and pay with paypal(details). That's one heckuva deal, in my book.

Good luck to those who need one of these.

I am in no way associated with this seller, and stand nothing to gain from this--I just got this deal and wanted to share with my fellow broke filmmakers.

Well, this particular auction claims it's a brand new monitor and doesn't say anything about dead pixels, unlike the other auctions for b-stock monitors. Also, the seller's got good feedback, selling video gear...so I'll take my chances. But even if you're right, one dead pixel probably wouldn't change my mind about all the money I'm saving.

Hehe, I guess that's why it's FILTHrich and not FILTHYrich...

Update:
I got an email from the seller, informing me that the kits had sold out, but that my order would be honored. So I guess the $549 would be for only the monitor for those wanting to purchase now. Not as great a deal, but, still an option.

Another Update:

Seller told me she has more kits in stock, so if anyone needs a deal on an hd lcd with accessories, here's your opportunity.
