PS Techniques 35 Adapter on HVX200

I'm renting a PS Techniques 35 adapter and for some reason the image on the EVF when I tilt up&down and pan left&right is shaky. Also, when I load the footage in FCP, the footage kind of flashes. For example, yesterday I shot on an 18mm SuperSpeed Zeiss and in FCP the clouds were strobing. I have also noticed some grain, even when the shutter and T-Stop are set at the correct exposure. So anyways, I need some help, Ohhhhh and also, why exactly are the edges coming up black?

Ohhhhh and also, why exactly are the edges coming up black?

You have to zoom into the GG until the black edges/vingnetting disappear, best controlled with a monitor in underscan.
