3 days into shooting my latest feature and finding the FS7 to be easy to use, despite initial concerns. Only real issue is having to remember to reboot after shooting HFR (forgetting means losing the monitor LUT and exposure being thrown off). 4K is a real asset for reframing purposes, as you can see from the first two samples below. Dynamic range of this camera has been a lifesaver, as at this micro budget level we can't throw up a giant silk when dealing with harsh light. Can't wait to shoot at magic hour instead of high noon-3pm as many of these shots were shot at!
Footage was shot in 4K Cine3Sgamut/Slog3 , transcoded daily to 2K for editing. Monitor LUT was 709a with same LUT added in post. Lenses are Nikkor 35mm and 50mm F 1.8, Rokinon 85mm T 1.8, Sigma 19mm F2.8 and Tokina 11-16 f2.8.
