Proper write/read speeds of Convergent Design SSDs?

Is anyone tested? I read somewhere that shoud be around 500 MB/s?
My disks (512GB and 256GB) has 200MB/s write and 170MB/s read. Tested with Blackmagic Disk Speed Test.
Isn't it too slow? Am I missing something?

Yes. They work fine with all options.
I dont know why I got those speeds in tests. Other (normel SSD and HDD) tested disks are fine.

If you were hooked up with USB you are only testing the USB bus speed.

Thunderbolt will give you faster results.

Also CD hides most of the SSD to the OS on the computer. You would have to reformat the SSD to get a true speed test. CD disc format, is not a standard disk format.

Im testing them on USB3 port. So it is not a limitation of speed. My other SSD disks connected same way are getting better results (400MB/s).
CD disks are reformated of course to NTFC.

OK. Strange thing. I did some more tests.

Connected formatted CD SSD internal via regular SATA cable. It gets normal speeds as it shoud (around 500MB/s)
But what about this USB3.0 reader? Reader itself is okay becouse with other SSD disks is getting faster speeds than CD Drives.

Could it be incompatible with CD Drives?

It is entirely possible that your reader is limiting the performance on our drives while not on others. We have found reader performance all over the map, including when connected to different drive types & brands.

Odyssey SSDs are rathed for sustained performance of 480MB/S. They often exceed this.

I did some more tests. Ive connected CD-SSD to two USB3.0 enclousers. Enclosure from Lacie Minimus. It gets around 180MB/s. Second one was enclosure from OWC. It gets around 235MB/s
So the question is. Is there any tested reader with USB3.0 which gets full speed of the CD drive?

@Rafael: Thunderbolt reader is great, but it is expensive a bit also. 5Gbit/s from USB3.0 should be way enough for this.

Not exactly sure why you want the results of an irrelevant test. If everything works, as advertised, let it go...move on.

I only need the name of tested USB 3.0 SSD reader which works with full speed(around 500MB/s) with CD Disks.
