Promo spot shot w/ HVX

Here is a promo spot for Court TV I directed. We shot with the stock lens and a Chrosziel follow focus/matte box from Abel Cine. Camera was mounted on a Fischer dolly, and we had a 1200w HMI, and a bunch of bounce boards, flags, etc. This is the "director's cut," which is different from the version that aired. I was very happy with the HVX, and the P2 workflow went like butter. If we'd had a bigger budget, meaning more time and manpower, I would have liked to experiment with one of the adaptors, but the tech side of this was so painless I had no regrets about keeping it simple. (I was less happy with constraints and creative edicts placed on us by the client, but that's how these things go a lot of the time...) This version never went to color correct or audio mix, so keep that in mind. Maybe you saw the air version on TV--I don't have cable so I never did.

That came out very good. Not much footage but nonetheless it was done very good, and I would love to see what they choice as their master.
