Promo from my first wedding.

I shot my first wedding recently. I learnt a couple things: shooting with one camera makes it hard for editing, and the on board microphone just wont cut it.

The lighting was very minimal. So once I lost the exterior light coming in through the windows it made it a bit hard.

The girl wanted to an old time feel for it, so I used black and white.

I'm wondering what people think about using this as a promo to get more work. Don't hold back, lets hear the criticism.

I liked the overall light feel to it. At first i didn't like the musical selection..but as i watched it and saw the light playful atmosphere, i thought it fit.

Liked the shot of the groom watching her come down the isle. Usually we see the bride, but i liked that shot.

I think Sepia with a slight vignette (dark around the edges of the frame) would be better for an "old feel". thats just me though. If u want to do the black and white i;d suggest trying to get it to look like that snapshot u had of her cutting the cake i think with slight vignette (that was nice). Make the blacks in either one of them more solid..or "crush" the blacks.
Luved the last shot of her singing. again crushing the blacks would help. She sure is one pretty bride :)
Liked the shot with the kids

A little colour grading would do wonders. play with contrast...would make the colours pop more.

Tripod would have been good for some shots, but i understand with the one camera u were probably running around. There cool for handheld

I liked it overall as i said. Just a few tweeks here and there and it could take it to another level entirely.

The probelms u encountered are things that have been discussed on this site. Jus search out the weddings. Ryan brown has a good section on it, others have also shared their knowlegde. Check it out b4 u do ur other shoot.... (btw i aint no pro by ANY means or nothing :D so i'm just telling u what i think can make it look better. u did a decent job for ur first wedding) Also check out Shaun's promo wedding video's http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=149751 I plan to steal some of his tricks :D ....but his stuff iz really cool to me :)

Thanks for all the advice, I appreciate it.
How do you think I should deal with the interlacing? When I rendered it with FCP quicktime conversion, I checked the deinterlace box. It didn't seem to do the trick.
