Promo for our Drag Boat Club

Pretty awesome footage. I guess those guys worked up to that level but man, that would be frightening. On land at least the pavement isn't rippling.

Great stuff Shaun!!!
A little more intense than a wedding... or maybe not? ;^)
Nice grading!
I saw the start green light, do you have a CU of it changing colors you could use?

Why did I think I'd never hear Victorian and Drag Boat in the same sentence? lol!

Sweet guys, thanks. CC Chuck was just basic preset in MB, no changing green light either unfortunately.

A bit more laid back than a wedding cause I can do as I feel. I've been going to the club now for around 10 years as I've been involved in some way or another before I even got into video production. Now i've got video cameras they love me coming down with my gear to film! I know all the folks that run the meets now so I get special priviledges on where I can film and the public can't. Most meets I get taken out on a jetski Seadoo with my DVX on the tripod and set up in the startline boat. One of those top alcohol hyroplanes from less than 20 feet away on launch is around 160+dB so its crazy out there!

That's funny!
Alcohol, methane, superchargers, headers, 160 db noise... But no BRIDEZILLAS!!!
More mellow than a wedding!!! lol!

but seriously (sort of) it's nice to have flexibility and freedom, and access on the start line, NICE!

Which MB preset is that Shaun?
I just got MB, trying to finish editing something I shot in December...
messing around with presets and custom looks.

Keep havin fun at the races Shaun!

Hey there, nice footage! you shot with a DVX100b correct....what format did you shoot in Squeeze? or did you have the Anamorphic adaptor? The reason I ask is that the footage is 16x9. Thanks!

Rene

Shot in squeeze, I shoot everything in squeeze on the DVX, its easy and looks the best. Plus 16:9 is the standard now, not 4:3
