Progressive Scan - SLOW Auto Focus

I'm just wandering why the DVX is slow on auto focus when in Progressive but not in interlaced.
If I film Interlaced and re-convert to progressive, I'm guessing each line will be out of place anyway unlike real progressive

Because the frame rate is slower. In interlaced you get 60 fields per second, in progressive you get half that many (30p) or even less (24p). The slower the autofocus system is fed updated frames, the slower it can respond.

Thanks Barry :)
