Progessive scan lines with projection

Hey Guys,

I'm shooting a project tomorrow in a black box. I am filming dancers silhouetted by a projection of some footage of smoke that I put together. My question is, I shot the smoke footage in 30p and I want to know if I will have any issues with horizontal scan lines from the projection if I shoot the dancers in 30p or 24p. I am not to clear on how that works with things like computer screens compared to a projector but the feed to the projector is coming from my computer. Any advice would be welcome thanks.

If it's a single-chip DLP projector, regardless of your progressive/interlace settings, you may experience rainbow fringing effects while panning. A 3DLP or LCD projector shouldn't give you any issues. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
