Has anyone here been to the ProFusion expo's in Toronto? They are presented by Vistek and I'm trying to decide if I should take the day off to go check it out or not.

I got tickets last year and went. It was pretty cool to walk around and check some stuff out. Nothing is significantly discounted, but all the vendors are there and its easy to be hands on if you're in the market for some new gear.

Depends on the manufacturer - I remember that G-Tech had some decent reductions on their harddrives and RAID setups (maybe $50+ off) if you purchased at ProFusion. Can't guarantee there will be similar deals this time around, but if you've never been might be worth a shot at checking it out. Is it worth taking a day off work to go see? Depends on how much of a tech geek you are, I suppose.

Some of the seminars seem interesting and worth a look though, so I'll probably be going.

I went last year, and will probably be going again. I just like playing with all the toys, and deciding hands-on what my next purchases should be.
