Professional lighting setups

So I've begun watching Behind the Scenes on some DVDs and pausing the frame when I see the lighting setup. I've been learning a lot about how the big boys get their look. Does anyone have any specific behind the scenes that you have seen or any other way I could study more big budget movie lighting setups? Thanks

Wow, Barry, if I wasn't such a poor film student or if it was cheaper I would be all over your dvd. You definitely know what you're doing.

If you don't have any money to spend(being a poor film student) on magazines, dvd's, etc. try searching on youtube. Use terms like "behind the scenes of", "filming", "cinematography of",
and then add the name of a TV Show/Movie that you like. Sometimes you can see lighting setups.

Good luck

Great advice bruce, I'm willing to spend some money as I do subscribe to AC but I just can't afford Barry's $100 dvd. I guess his "shameless plug" got removed. haha

Like someone else said, try going to youtube. I've gotten a lot of good results searching for "b-roll footage." Also go to makingof.com and search their on set footage

Thank you,

Makingof.com is great. It's just what I was looking for (especially the social network footage.) I had no idea they shot the on Red. It looked amazing.
