and now im off to check it out... check the features that werent in the pre prod model i played with.

Please let us know what what you think.

Also, if you get a chance, try out the settings Barry suggested for better noise performance and let us know. Maybe post a small clip or some frame grabs.

I am over the top envious. If I don't get mine soon I will begin to weep.

bought it from full compass systems. they only recieved mine in the first shipment becuase i placed the first order alone quite a while back.. the other 30 or so on order will not be in for a while yet.
 
That is not good, I am number 6 on their list. Hopefully I will get it in the next three weeks.

Congrats on getting yours, can you post some screenshots for the rest of us impatient bastards?
 
heh.. i dont have a P2 card yet, or anything to capture to. i might pick one up tommorow. ive got the raylight demo so if i get a P2 tommorow ill try it out in PPRO 1.5. if i could capture straight to NLE youd only see my studio anyway.. rest assured when i get a P2 card though ill post some stuffs soon enough. again, hopefully tommorow if i have time.

right now though.. in the LCD.. the whole noise issue.. bah.. its the same as the DVX. you cant quite shoot in as low of light because its not as sensative. barry says 1 stop slower.. but in equivilent light.. it looks just like what im used to.. bottom line.. if you know what your doing.. noise shouldnt be an issue. thats why we light things for cinema afterall.

a few quick points.. focus assist is awsome.. i can see every little imperfection in a fungernail in the apx full res little window. ..i read some fine print in a book from acrossed a room.. wow.. thats all i can say about resolution and image fidelity.

..anyway.. ive got alot more to say.. but im off to do some more tests, and assymilate it into my biology.. i mean worklfow. :)
