I co-own a full service production company currently specializing in music video production. We are located in Los Angeles, California, with our main offices in nearby Burbank. We own two HVX-200s, lighting packages and grip equipment, generators, a dolly, post-production equipment, and all of the basics to create a professional project (more than $60,000 in equipment). We have rental contacts to acquire whatever we do not already own. Additionally, the company has three RED One Digital Cinema cameras on order plus lenses that will be available in early 2008. We are fully insured and have all necessary legal documents to make any production move quickly and progress smoothly. We have many crew contacts in various positions to make hiring fast and easy.
Right now, we are looking for just a few more directors to come aboard with the company. For us, having a few very talented directors signed to the company gives us talent that adds value to the production company. For you, the director, the advantages are numerous. Your biography information will be displayed on the company Website along with your reel, you will have the full resources of our production company backing you during your music video projects (or other projects you wish us to be involved in producing), and we will aggressively market you and your work. I am a director as well, but for the company I also produce, and I look at my responsibility to you as not only helping you on a project-by-project basis to create top quality work, but growing your career in the direction you want through an alliance with the company.
As for payment, we will negotiate a standard 10% fee of the below-the-line expenses on each project for the director, but sometimes if the budget is smaller and the work is greater, we will work to negotiate a larger compensation for the director and the production company.
