I recently purchased a Proskar 2x anamorphic lens. I've reading through many threads about processing anamorphic footage, but most are very confusing with people contradicting each other.
My requirements for processing is that I do not crop any footage, and that I have a height of 1080.
My understanding so far is that with a 2x lens, you must multiply 1920 by 2, which equals 3840. So a sequence of 3840x1080px is the correct aspect ratio (3.56). An aspect ratio of 3.56 allows you to use the full resolution of the camera, and no part of the image is cropped out, correct?
If I want a traditional anamorphic aspect ratio, how would I do this without cropping?
So far this is my workflow for correcting the aspect ratio to 3.56:
1. create sequence: 3840x1080, 24p
2. import footage
3. Under Motion, change scale width to 200%
