Hey everyone I gota quick question, I would appreciate if someone could help me out.
OK, I just got my new dvx100a and I think there is a problem with my shutter speed, when shutter speed is around 1/500, 1/1000 in 24p mode I get some kind of color change or like contrast change, it changes from bright yellowish color to dark bluish.
Anybody experienced this problem or not a problem whatever it is I would really appreciate some replies.
Thanks.

Re: Problems with shutter speed

You should try to use the iris as well when you change your shutter speed. For example if your iris is set @ f/5.6, and you change the shutter speed from 1/250 to 1/1000. The picture will get darker or very dark.

You should try to change your iris to f/3.5 or even f/2.8. I hope this help.

Dan

There are many combinations you can use with the camera and each one has an effect on the other:

Shutter Speed will shorten the exposure time thus requiring you to OPEN the IRIS to allow light in not to mention the effect it will have on a ND thus requiring you to most likely not use it. Also pay attention to the WB which easily can be done using one of the PRST's (3400 or 5600).

Pay attention to these options more than any other and you will see how one effects the other and when you have to apply them.
