I freelance a bit and so have to deal with producers who have older equipment. In one case the producer is using Premiere Pro 2 with a Matrox RTX100 card.
To work for him I use ClipBrowser to export DV AVI (Type2) files onto hard drives (NTFS partitions).
The problem is he has all sorts of trouble importing them (they take forever to come in), they have to render, and opening an existing project with these assets also takes ages.
I'd like to be able to resolve this issue for him so he is more likely to use me to shoot for him. As it is, sometimes he gets me to shoot with a DSR250 because the files he logs from it work fine, and he only wants 4:3 SD.
Any ideas?
