Problems with Rear LCD

I am having a problem with the rear LCD screen on the HPX500. First off, I've upgraded the viewfinder to the AJ-VF20B 2" HD eye peice. The only way that I'm able to utilize the 2" is if my output is set to squeeze. In doing so the rear LCD is then of course squeezed. There is a way to change the aspect ratio on the LCD but the menue is blue out (unable to be changed). Is there anyway around this? Second, the rear LCD has decieded to quit all together. The camera is only about 2 months old. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have the same setup, and as far as I've been able to tell there is no way to unsqueeze the LCD separately from the finder...

As for the LCD not working, check the "safe" switch at the front port-side edge of the camera.
