Problems with Panasonic cards???

We've got 3 HMC150's that get regular use. With have 3 Panasonic 16 gig cards (class 6) and many more Transcend 16 gig cards.

Strangely, it's the Panasonic cards that have given us trouble. We've gotten the 'check card' error a few times. The white write protect tab has fallen off of one also.

I realize that the cards have a warranty and I will send them back, but I'm curious if anyone else have experienced this. We've never done a firmware upgrade so I don't know if this has any bearing on the problem.

Any info appreciated.
 
You know it's weird. The Panasonic cards I have never have this problem and the one Transcend card I have does, lol. I have upgraded the firmware, but don't think that's causing the problem with your cards as several other people have had problems with the Panny cards. I really don't know what to tell you, sorry. Maybe somebody with more knowledge can chime in on this?
 
I have seen other reports of Panasonic batteries failing for people. But to be honest, check card errors happen so infrequently (It looks like the majority of the users here have never gotten one?) that it's been real difficult to track down exactly what causes them. I use a fairly uncommon brand, Patroit, and consequently have never heard anyone have a check card error with one so I've got my fingers crossed.
