FS7: Problems with Metabones ultra ef to e mount, won't mount anymore to fs7

I have had and use the Metabones ultra with my fs7 for months now. I recently wanted to test the Sony lens 18-105mm. So I removed the Metabones adapter and put the Sony lens on. I was using the Sony lens for the past week and I have to return it. So I took off the lens and went to put the Metabones ultra adapter on again and it won't twist on to the e mount. It looks like it's not flush ever so little near the contacts of the e mount .

I have been successful in re attaching the Sony lens but still can't get the Metabones to attach. If anyone has had a similar issue or may know what's causing the issue. Please let me know. I don't have extensive experience with lens adapters. Thanks

Lens mounts are finely machined with tight tolerances. In my experience, when one suddenly stops working, there's probably something gummed up in the works. Could be a shard of metal from the other lens, etc. I'd take a very careful look at the mount on the lens as well as the camera mount, look for foreign objects stuck in there.

Check if one or more screws have loosened up a little creating a larger gap between the mount and the adapter.
