F55: Problems with F55, Fuji Cabrio 19-90mm, and Microforce V+F2 zoom controller

I've got the F55, a Fuji Cario 19-90mm zoom, and a new Preston Microforce digital V+F2 controller and cable. The F55 powers up the zoom fine and allows me to zoom on the servo with the rocker switch, but I'm not getting anything out of the microforce. Appears the camera/lens is not powering up the microforce as there is no display in the LED window. I've got the F55 menu set to "Type C" for the lens interface [tried Type A and off also], the lens is in servo mode/not manual and set at a medium speed, the cable is plugged into the zoom port/not the focus port, and the microforce is set to a medium speed. Several people including Sony peeps and guys at AbelCine have told me it should work fine with the single zoom controller cable but no go. Any ideas or suggestions?

Two things to check:

On the underside of the Cabrio servo, next to the Manual/Servo switch for the zoom by on the panel facing the lens itself, there should be a small round sticker with a letter. This indicates the firmware currently loaded into your Cabrio servo handgrip. If it is a letter A-thru-G or if there is no label then the lens should go to Fuji for a firmware upgrade. Letter H and beyond are fine.

On the front panel of the servo (side losest to the front of the lens) there is a rubber cover plate underwhich likes a number of adjustments and dip switches. The large Zoom Mode circular selector (orange knob with an arrow which can rotate to point at different numbers) should be set to 4. There are two sets of DIP switches. On the lower set (numbered 1-4), switch 3 should be switched OFF.

You need to have a Microforce cable with a Green band on the connector. Let me know how this turns out for you.

Mitch, thanks for the info, I know Matt Livingston has been bugging you about this and I appreciate your assistance. The lens is firmware H, the cable does have the green band, and the dip switches are on 4 and off respectively. I also tried all different combinations of the dip switches and still no power to the controller.
