problems with camera flashing tape icon

Hi, not sure what happened, I was gitising stuff and basically the camera threw a woblly, I started to get the flashing red icon with a line in that means theres no tape, though there's tape in, and the pickture started to distort, and go blocky, then black out, and the time code went intermittent as did the image, it seemed to be distorting the tape, with black lines all over the picture, I got out the head clenaing tape and used it, and after a while things seemed to settle down, though haven't used the camera that much, and the icon wasn't the dirty ehad one...andy ideas really appreciated as worried aobut it happening again...thanks..great site and opinions

hit the reset button..

did you get condensation in the unit? were you in extreme temperature conditions? was the battery low?

Which buton is the reset button, I don't think I was in severe weather, though it did rain a little, I think battery was full, I read about a low battery causing diturbance so not that...As I said put head cleaner though and it seemed to set it right. If you get water in or condensation how do you fix that, though don't think I have as camera is now working....
