Problems making DVDs

Hi everyone.

I'm having trouble making DVDs with footage shot on my DVX. I'm shooting 24p standard and when in DVD Studio Pro or iDVD I get weird interlacing issues (only after I've burned to disc, it looks fine in the program simulator). I've tried setting the feild order, and its no help. Is there a trick to encoding progressive video?

upstate you may want to post this in the FCP forum. but i havent had any trouble with DVDSP in regular 24p mode. i just use compressor presets for standard ntsc.
i would say its becuase the 24p standard will show interlacing effects on a tv especially if you are freezing frames in between the field order of the 24p. you wont notice it on the comp monitor. try shooting some 24pa and working in a 24 fps timeline and exporting for a 24p dvd.
