problems focusing in 2fps hack mode

Can anyone tell me the best way to focus after I'm in the 2fps hack mode???

The image refreshes very slowly and its very hard to focus accurately when the picture updates so slowly. Should I be focusing before hand in default mode at 24fps. What if I'm doing time lapse at night and I can only see well in 2fps mode with shutter speed set at 24 or 180d.

You will have trouble focusing, and so will the camera if you are using autofocus. For timelapses, use manual focus.

Use two different scene files, one for framing/focus, and one set to 2fps for recording.

I would just change scene files, focus, and then go back to the 2fps hack.

Or, in some cases, do it the old way - focus by distance marker...

i use distance marker.

Is the distance marker on the camera? Do you mean on the lens or the Z figure in the LCD screen? Like Z75 (zoom 75)?

the distance in the LCD can be changed to Feet. thats the easiest way. make a guestimate, and assume that the DOF of the camera will take care of the minor errors.
