Problem with shutter speed

I just bought Canon 5D and I have this weird problem. Please help me, I need to shoot some interview tomorrow :)
I'm from Europe, so I want to have a shutter speed at 1/25. I'm in manual mode, I set shutter speed 1/25, but when I press live view, the shutter speed changes to 1/30 and I cant choose shutter slower than 1/30, that means I cant go to 1/25! Why?

EDIT: I'm stupid! I actually need shutter speed 1/50, right? But still its a weird problem :)

If you think about it yes 1/50th but if your shooting 25 fps how can you have a 1/25th sec exposure as 25x 1/25=1sec there is no time left in between frames.
