Hello everyone,
I bought a HMC153 just over a year ago and i have a little problem with the power button.
a few months ago i was hand-filming for a weekend in the woods (temp was about 5° to 15°), and the button started to stay locked in ON or OFF position, i had to play a bit with it to make it move.
a day later this problem disappeared...for a few months.
2 weeks ago, it reapperaed but differently. still the same button but this time it doesn't " lock itself ". this time, i turned the camera ON, and even if physically the button remained ON it was a bit loose inside so the camera was turning itself OFF ! I had to turn the button physically on the OFF position and trun it ON again and it just did a few times.
after that it never did again ! the camera seems to have a life on its own and decides to get on my nerves at the bad moment, which is when i'm working on a paid job and not on a personal project ^^
So have anyone seen this problem before ?
Would you recommend that i open it to see if it's loose inside ? Or can i let a repair shop do it ?
I'm french and Panasonic France won't do anything because i bought this camera on Globalmediapro and this is the model sold in Oceania (HMC153 and not HMC151), so no warranty in France for my camera.
