Hi everyone. This is my first post. Sorry for may english. I am from spain but I live in miami. My problem is that when I shot in HDV inside in my house the clip come out with a lot of noise. I bouht the camcorder 2 days ago. I don't know if I have to change something in the menu because I have see a lot of awesome footage in this forum.
 
but If i want to shot a wedding where there isn't too much light, what can I do?. a light on camera could help?.
 
You will have to add light. If you need it for weddings, you bought the wrong camera. The FX7 and V1U are the least-light-sensitive of all the HD cam offerings. Your only choice would be to add more light.
 
Yep. According to Adam Wilt, it's about 1.5 stops slower than the Z1 (and FX1). Which means 3x as much light is necessary for equivalent exposure.
 
i find my fx-7 better than expected in low light i know its not as good as my 2100 which i have sold but i realy think it would cope with church light here are two low light tests vs 2100 the first indoor daylight darker than any lit church the second artificial light very dark,one small bulb in the corner of the room ,too dark for me to have read anything.

both on auto gain the white balance not set correct but it does not matter as its light we are looking at.chris
 
For some reason I have noticed that everytime I get my hands on a new Sony camera to test out it seems as if auto-gain and or hyper-gain are always on, as soon as I turned off the auto-gain (or whatever it was called) the image looked fantastic even after I zoomed in a distance of about 1 mile (see the test footage post below and find my link), the shot was done at night from ontop of a mountain near Lehigh University.
